Sun Kissed

I love nothing more than the feeling of sunshine on my face.  Especially now that I spend nearly 70 hours a week inside.  So, it's no wonder that this is how I like to spend my day off.

Just remember this because if we're ever out and about, having tea or brunching or at a happy hour and I turn my face up to the sun...don't take offense.  I promise I'm listening.  I'm just savoring one of those little things that brings me joy.

Red Hot

I've never done red lips...always thought about it, never actually followed through.  Until recently.

Inspired by this...

and by this...

I did this.

It's not the best picture and would be better if you could see the whole dress and the shoes, but it's the only one I have, and I wanted to share.

I gotta say, wearing red lips and red nails makes you feel sassy!

Blog Book Pro

Guess what I'm blogging from????

After three months of hard work and saving, today I treated myself to something that I've been longing for.

I'm so excited!  It's going to take some getting used to since I've been a PC forever.  I feel a little like I'm borrowing a friend's computer...but I can't wait to start to play and learn everything cause now, I'm a MAC.

Wedding Wednesday - Popping Up The Aisle

Loving this right now.  Talk about Spring has Sprung!

The florist literally planted the tulips into the ground.  Seriously.

Plus I think the rainy day and clear tent surrounding those bright yellow tulips planted IN the aisle makes it even yummier.

We have this incredible planner and this amazing photographer to thank!

Take My Breath Away

just watch...

Um...what?  I'm so excited.  I feel like I'm reconnecting with old friends when I watch that trailer.  Plus, cameos from Penelope and LIZA?  Um, yes....YES, please.

Wedding Wednesday - Charming Garland

I am in love with this.  Seriously, in love.

These are recycled hymnal garlands that have been stitched together.  I think it's such a neat idea instead of ribbons and bows.  They have a modern look to them, but the fact that they are made out of antique hymnal books is romantic and traditional.

Here's how they look close up...darling right?

I would love to buy these...I can imagine a thousand ideas for them.

Check out the etsy store where they're available HERE.

Gathering Town

I have a confession to make...

I love Party City!

I know it's cheesy and corny and tacky...but there is something about walking through those doors that makes me excited.

Must be the party planner in me.  I walk the aisles and it makes me want to have a thousand different themed parties.  My imagination runs wild.

Do I need a hula girl pinata?  Hell no.  But do I want to buy it?  Yes.

Pink Girly Pirate Princess plates?  Sure.  I can design a party around that.

How about all of the amazingly tragic things in the aisles for a killer Cinco de Mayo party?  Yes, please.

Next time you need some tacky decor for a party...can I GO with you to Party City?

Thanks.

A Raindrop Filled Day

I've got the day off today.  It's raining outside.
And I'm loving it.

I had about a million plans for this day...and maybe I'll get to them.  But for now, I've got my most comfortable and mis-matchy sweats on, a pot of tea steeping and I'm sitting here enjoying the pitter patter of raindrops on the roof.

Sigh.  It's just begun and it's already an excellent day off!
